Falun Gong fabricates “miracles” again (photos)

Minghui Net published a “miracle” article titled Two Old Ladies’ New Lives on November 22, 2009. The article said, Aunt Yang, 76 years old, living in Helin Shicheng Town, Jiange County, was almost paralyzed after operation due to the three tumors on her back. “After knowing that Falun Dafa was good, Truthfulness, and Compassion and Tolerance was good, she quit the evil Party.. Now she doesn’t need wheel chair any more, and can move freely and take care of herself.” The article also stated that “Fu Shaolan, living in Yutai Village of Jiange County, had a major operation for bladder cancer at the age of 82, losing the capability of walk. Now she can do farm work and walk like a young person after speaking ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance is good’ and taking Dafa amulet with her everyday. “

I just came from Jiange County, so I decided to make a field investigation. For the first event, I found there was no Shicheng Town in Jiange County. It may be Yangling Town, a place which was  called Shicheng before. I only knew the aunt’s last name Yang, so it was hard to find her. But since this 76-year-old Aunt Yang “quit the evil Party”, then she must be a member of Communist Party. As far as I know, there isn’t a party member who is elder than 70 in Yangling Town.

I found out there was indeed an old woman called Fu Shaolan in Yutai Village, Changling Town, Jiange County. Then I went there to see her.

According to Fu Shaolan’s neighbor Liang Dengmei at team 5 of Yutai Village, Fu once had myoma of bladder, then has been cured by operation at Jiange Chinese Medicine Hospital. “My home is 20 meters away from hers, so we often connect with each other. I have never heard she practiced Falun Gong.”

“About four or five years ago, when she had myoma of bladder, she was in hospital for more than a month and had been cured after operation,” another neighbor Liang Dengkun said.

Fu Shaolan, 87 years old now, lives at No. 32 of team 5, Yutai Village, Changling Town, Jiange County. She has four sons and four daughters. She lives with her second son, Liang Yanan, while the other three sons are in other places. She had myoma of bladder, but has recovered after operation in Jiange Chinese Medicine Hospital. When I asked about her life, she smiled and said that her kids were obedient and took her to hospital in time. She is happy and healthy after she left hospital.

Liang Yanan told me: “My mother is healthy, except some minor illnesses like cold. She must keep taking medicine, so she often gets medicine from the village’s doctor Fu Shaobai.”

When I asked “Someone said you recovered because you spoke ‘Falun Dafa was good, Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance was good’ and carried Dafa amulut everyday.” The old lady was very surprised: “I have never heard about Falun Dafa and never carried any amulet.”

Her son Liang Yanan introduced, his mother can’t read and write and never practice any Gong. She still cleans house, cooks the meals and does some other simple housework until now. “If illness could be cured just by speaking some words, then there would be no patients in the world…”

The Ottawa Citizen questions ‘The story of Sujiatun’

[Editor Notes:] On August 9, 2007, the main media of Canada “the Ottawa Citizen” published an article to question the report about “The story of Sujiatun” made by David Kilgour, a former MP. The following is the main text:

Mr. Kilgour, who once served as secretary of state for the Asia-Pacific region, has a long record as a human rights advocate. In 2005, when sitting as an independent MP, he threatened to withdraw support for then-prime minister Paul Martin’s narrow minority government if Canada did not do more to help the people of Darfur, in the Sudan.

Mr. Kilgour made international headlines last year with a report on the persecution of Falun Gong, co-written with Winnipeg lawyer David Matas.

Like no other document before it, the Matas-Kilgour report gave credence to allegations advanced by Falun Gong. Today, its conclusions are regularly cited by the movement’s devotees as evidence of abuse at the hands of the Chinese government.

And while much of their work has been embraced by international human rights experts, some have raised doubts about some aspects of the report and its methodology.

The Chinese Embassy in Ottawa dismissed it as “groundless” and “based on rumours and false allegations.”

But others were also dubious. Researchers working for the U.S. Congress concluded that some of the key allegations in the report “appear to be inconsistent with the findings of other investigations.”

At the centre of the report is the claim that the Chinese government harvests the organs of Falun Gong practitioners for sale to foreign tourists. Falun supporters have charged that the Chinese government operated a facility where practitioners were imprisoned, executed, their organs removed and their bodies cremated.

The stories of an alleged concentration camp in northeastern China first surfaced in March 2006 with reports in the Epoch Times, a newspaper that publishes virulently anti-Communist commentary and stories alleging persecution of the Falun Gong movement. The paper cited a secret concentration camp at Sujiatun where, it alleged, 4,500 followers had been executed and cremated.

The mainstream media soon jumped on the story. The National Review Online, a conservative website in the U.S., wrote that Chinese human-rights activists believe that this name should cause the same shudders as Treblinka and the others. The Toronto Sun made the easy comparison between the Sujiatun claims and Nazi death camps.

Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas were asked by a U.S.-based group called the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of the Falun Gong in China to look into the allegations of human rights violations. They were not allowed into China, but worked from documents and interviews. In July, they issued a report that concluded China had put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience.

Although the authors stress that they did not rely on any one piece of evidence to reach their conclusion, they said they found credible the story of an unnamed woman living in the U.S. with the pseudonym Annie, who claimed to be the former wife of a surgeon in China.

Annie, previously featured in an Epoch Times story, told the Canadians that her husband had removed the corneas from approximately 2,000 Falun Gong prisoners at Sujiatun. The bodies were passed on to other doctors who removed more organs, and then cremated the remains, she claimed. Mr. Matas and Mr. Kilgour used her information only where it could be corroborated by other information, they wrote.

The report also relied on translated transcripts of telephone calls in which Chinese officials were said to confirm the common harvesting of organs from Falun Gong detainees.

By the time the report was released, doubts about the veracity of the Sujiatun story were growing.

The U.S. State Department said officials from its consulate in nearby Shenyang City and the embassy in Beijing had visited Sujiatun twice and found only a normal public hospital.

Reporters from a Hong Kong newspaper also found no sign of an underground death camp that Falun followers alleged. A machine that was said to be an oven for cremating bodies was, in fact, a boiler room, they concluded.

The Sujiatun story lost more air when Harry Wu, a former political prisoner of the Chinese government and outspoken voice against the Communist government, said he doubted the witness accounts upon which the Sujiatun stories relied. His organization investigated and found the witness statements unreliable. He concluded the story may be intentionally fabricated.

While Mr. Wu agreed that the Chinese government brutally persecutes the Falun Gong and others, he said there was no evidence to support the claim that 4,500 practitioners were killed at Sujiatun.

Questions about the Matas-Kilgour report went beyond the allegations about Sujiatun. A paper prepared by the U.S. Congressional Research Service concluded that the report for the most part “does not bring forth new or independently-obtained testimony and relies largely upon the making of logical inferences.” It also questioned the transcripts of telephone calls, in which Chinese officials are said to admit using Falun Gong organs.

“Some argue that such apparent candour would seem unlikely given Chinese government controls over sensitive information, which may raise questions about the credibility of the telephone recordings,” the research service paper said.

In January, Mr. Matas and Mr. Kilgour released an updated version of their report and repeated their belief in the story of the unnamed former wife of a surgeon. Mr. Wu had jumped to conclusions about Sujiatun before investigators from his organization completed their work, they claimed.

“What this means is that the views of Harry Wu were not based on the full reports of his investigation,” the report claimed.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Wu’s organization said this week he has not changed his position on the Sujiatun allegations.

“We haven’t found any evidence to support the location and the number and events they have described going on,” said Lisa Pertoso, of the Laogai Research Foundation.

Still, by most accounts, there had been a marked rise in the number of organs available for transplantation in China. The government has acknowledged that some organs may come from prisoners, but it claims the condemned agree to donation before their executions.

Some of the executed could be political prisoners or Falun Gong followers, of course. But China vehemently denies an orchestrated genocide or use of Nazi-style concentration camps involving Falun Gong. The government also moved last year to prohibit the sale of organs.

Mr. Matas says there may have been some confusion over Sujiatun based on what he says was a mistaken blending of information about a prison camp and a hospital in one of the Epoch Times stories. He says he continues to believe what the surgeon’s ex-wife told him.

Farce about Ascending to Heaven (Photo)

I am Hu Xiaoguo, live in GaofengVillage, XinglongjieTown, Zizhong County, Sichuan Province. I am 47-year-old and has primary education level. About ten years ago, I joined the Disciples Sect and played in a farce about ascending to heaven, for which I feel regretful today.

Encouraged and persuaded by my eldest sister Hu Suqin and third eldest sister Hu Suhua, I joined the Disciples Sect in June of 2002. Reportedly, joining the cult and spreading gospel were helpful to cure disease, to expel devils, to get blessed and go to heaven after death. Since then, I had eaten the “food of life”, which meant weighing grains before cooking to ensure the amount not exceeding two Liang for each day, and performing prayer before each meal. I deeply believed in existence of the God and Fairy, dreaming all day long about going to heaven. During the later period, I concentrated my energies on attending activities of Disciples Sect. Later I became a director. Then I thought about seeking death in order to go to heaven as soon as possible.

After I joined the Disciples Sect, the originally poor relationships between my wife and I got increasingly strained. We often quarreled. My wife requested for divorce. Having lost confidence in life, I hoped to free myself from the worries.

On September 24, 2002, when my wife was not home, I made preparation for going to heaven. I threw our clothes and grains into the courtyard.

In the morning of the following day, my third eldest sister happened to visit me. I said to her, “I am ready to go to heaven. Please ask Yuan Bingzhang to come here with the books that we often read.” Yuan Bingzhang lived in the same town as my third eldest sister. He was a pious follower of the Disciples Sect. During that period, we often got together. I thought that we should go to heaven together. Then my third eldest sister hurried to ask Yuan Bingzhang who was then busy with farming work to come to my home. I treated them with apples and peanuts. We also drank some medicinal liquor. Then we had noodle with egg for dinner.

In that evening, we watched TV for a while. Before going to bed, I asked my third eldest sister and Yuan Bingzhang, “Are you afraid of death?” They both answered, “No.” So I arranged them and my nine-year-old son to lie on the same bed with a hope that all of us may turn into smoke and ascend to heaven in the midnight. I dug a big hole in the roof as the way leading us to heaven.

At about 1:00 on the morning of September 26, I woke up my third eldest sister, Yuan Bingzhang and my son, asking them to wait on bed for ascending to heaven. Unexpectedly, my sleepy son cried out loudly, repeatedly shouting, “I don’t want to go to heaven. I want to go to school.” As a result, none of us managed to go to heaven.

But I was not willing to give up. I had made up my mind. So I asked them to come to the courtyard, and I undressed myself. Then I took off the clothes of my son (he was in the arms of my sister). I also asked my sister and Yuan Bingzhang to take off their clothes. Then I got a leather wire, tied it round our necks, and arranged all of us into a line. Taking the front position, I led the team to go around the yard and the house, keeping on murmuring. We also smashed bowls, basins, cabinets, TV set, pots and some other things in the house. I took the lead shattering the doorsill with a hammer, and then asked each of the others to give twelve strikes on it.

After an hour of rumpus, all of us were so tired that we began to breathe hard. But we had not got to the heaven as we had dreamed. I took out the wooden ladder that I had prepared, leading other people to the roof. There we performed prayer together, asking the immortals to pick us up. After the prayer, I opened an umbrella, tied all of us together with a ripe, and called to jump together with an intention to fly to the sky. Unexpectedly, we broke the roof and fell down to a heap of firewood in the kitchen.

By then, I had not yet waken up from the dream about going to heaven. I became even crazier. After we fell from the roof, I asked my sister and Yuan Bingzhang to take my son to bed, and to take good care of him to ensure that he would not flee. I hoped that I could go to heaven together with my son.

I went out of the house, and lit up a pile of firewood in the courtyard. I meant to go to heaven by burning ourselves. The dry firewood lit and began to burn fiercely.

Our neighbors were awakened by the fire. They swarmed to my home. The fire and noise sobered me up. I realized that I had made a big mistake. I was so scared that I ran naked as quickly as I could to the hill at the back of my house. There was no time for me to consider my son, my sister and Yuan Bingzhang.

On my way to flee, I picked up a suit and put it on. I concealed myself in a cave in the hill, keeping alive on spring water and uncooked sweet potatoes. A week later, I was extremely tired and hungry. I felt absent-minded all day long. I could not bear such kind of life. Moreover, I was thinking about my son. So I decided to go home.

As I approached my home, I met a neighbor who was on good terms with me. He said that he felt horribly grieved for my obsession and crazy behaviors. He told me that the other three people had survived and that the police people were looking for me. He advised me to surrender to the police, seeking for lenient treatment rather than making further mistakes.

On October 4, 2002, I gave myself to the police and was sentenced to seven years in jail for attempted crime of intentional homicide. In 2008, I was released 11 months ahead due to my good performance in the prison.

Later I learned from the police people dealing with my case that after I fled, my neighbors put out the fire and saved the people. When they tried to save the three persons, my third eldest sister Hu Suhua and Yuan Bingzhang were tightly holding my son between them while murmuring something. Since they refused to leave the house, my brother-in-law gave a slap on my sister’s face, forcing her and Yuan Bingzhang to let my son go. And other neighbors came to take my sister and Yuan Bingzhang out of the house. Thus the serious consequence had been avoided. At last, my pigsty was burned down, and two of the four rooms in my house were ruined. Two pigs were killed in the fire.

After the farce about going to heaven, I got divorced and stopped contact with my eldest and third eldest sisters. I made a clean break with the Disciples Sect. At present, I am working as a loader in a cement factory nearby. My son has grown up. He left home to make his living. We live a poor but stable life. Now I make public the farce that happened 10 years ago with a hope that other people should learn a lesson and don’t believe in any heretical cult.

I Lost My Beloved Son (Photo)

As I am sitting in the doorway of my home, watching children go to or from school in threes and fours, I feel as if a knife were piercing my heart. If my son were alive, he would have been 16-year-old, in the blossom season of his life. But now, my son is in the heaven alone.

I am Li Aiping, a 47-year-old woman living in the West Street, ChengguanTown, Puyang County, Henan Province. My son was born in October 1996. But his birth did not bring me too much joy. I had been physically weak. After giving birth to my son, I had postnatal complications. I had taken a lot of medicines, which achieved little effect.

When I was worried, a visiting relative introduced Falun Gong to me. She said that practicing Falun Gong was not only able to improve physical health without taking any medicine or injection, but also could bless the whole family, and that practitioners may become immortal eventually. I began to practice Falun Gong since I thought that it was useful and harmless, and that it may cure my disease without taking me a penny.

After a period of physical exercises on a regular basis, I had a healthier appetite and became stronger than before. It did not hurt in my waist and legs. I felt even more refreshed and energetic. I attributed these to the practice of Falun Gong. Gradually, I became a firm follower of Falun Gong, regarding my master as Buddha with omnipresent law body. I took ascending spiritually and achieving consummation as my life-long goals.

To show my piety, I took RMB1, 000 of baby’s milk money out of our limited income to buy special clothes and mattress for practicing Falun Gong as well as portraits of Li Hongzhi, a recorder and tapes on Falun Gong lectures. I devoted myself to learning and practicing Falun Gong. I regarded Falun Gong as my life, and worshiped Li Hongzhi wholeheartedly.

Since I was occupied in practicing Falun Gong, I neglected my son and the housework. My son often cried for hunger. My husband felt so distressed that he gave up business on hand, returning home to do our farm work, housework and to take care of the child.

In July 1999, Falun Gong was outlawed by the government. Most of the practitioners I knew gave it up and returned to normal life. My husband warned me not to practice Falun Gong anymore. So I promised to comply with his request orally. My husband took my promise as valid. So he left home again to do business. After my husband left home, I began to practice Falun Gong again because I thought that was a trial of my faith in my master. I made up my mind not to give up halfway. I not only practiced Falun Gong at home, but also joined others to distribute leaflets and publicize Falun Gong.

One day in October 2000, my then-three-year-old son was crying while seizing my clothes firmly. To avoid being bothered, I left my son alone at home, leaving him cry loudly. I went to the home of another practitioner to practice Falun Gong. When I went home, I found my son was sleeping on the sofa. His face turned red with cough and it seemed like something sticky in his throat. I touched his forehead and realized that he was having a fever. Influenced by Li Hongzhi’s idea about karma elimination, I did not take my son to hospital, nor did I give him fever reducers.

On the next day, my son’s body temperature rose to over 39°C. He coughed hard and was convulsed. But I still believed that Falun Gong was able to cure his disease through eliminating his karma, and that the law body of my master was able to protect my son. I tried to deliver energy to my son by practicing Falun Gong by the side of his bed, and made half an hour’s prayer for tens of times in front of the portrait of Li Hongzhi. What I did was aimed at helping my son get protection from my master and eliminate his karma.

Three days later, my son did not show any sign of recovery. On the contrary, his condition was worsening. I attributed it to the lack of my power and piety. So I invited other practitioners to help cure my son’s disease by practicing Falun Gong together. All of these efforts did not achieve any effect. My son fell into a coma. My neighbors were worried and suggested sending the boy to hospital. They said, “The boy will die if you continue to act in this way.” But I seemed as if possessed by ghost, and did not allow them to send my son to hospital.

The neighbors had no option but to call my husband who was in another city. My husband hurried home at that night, and took my son to a hospital upon his arrival. When they arrived at the hospital, my son breathed hard, his heart palpitated and his face turned blue. The doctors diagnosed that he had pneumonia and was in critical condition. Despite doctors’ rescue efforts, my son’s pneumonia turned into myocarditis since the chance for medical treatment was missed. On the next day, my son left the world at such a young age that he was not able to enjoy the joy and happiness of the human world.

The death of my son gave me a heavy blow. The cruel fact sobered me up completely. But my regretful tears cannot bring my son back to life.

On the next day, my son left the world at such a young age that he was not able to enjoy the joy and happiness of the human world.

The death of my son gave me a heavy blow. The cruel fact sobered me up completely. But my regretful tears cannot bring my son back to life.
